Default Cts-v mpg?

I'm just curious as to what kind of gas mileage you guys with 04-07 Vs get. Not that it matter, but I've never really heard anyone talk about it.

Lol I agree completely. That's better than I would have expected, considering the car is shaped like a box. haha

If my average MPG get above 13 I know that I am driving like a hippie, and should be punched in the *****. (road trips are excluded)

If I want to (for whatever reason) get good gas mileage I can average mid teens in city and low-mid 20's on the freeway. If i'm on a perfectly flat road driving 70-75 i can see 25-26 constantly. But the flat road never lasts long.

I average about 15-16. 16 would be in the warmer months.

HAHAHAHHAHAHA!

but my normal tank combined is 14 to 15 combined. and that is about 70% highway. my "fun tanks" is about 11-13, and a true economy tank (only done 1 of those) was 22 combined. on my road trip to California, i averaged both ways 26.9 MPG going 75 to 85 mph most of the way.

Edit: and now i have a Whisler quote in the Sig, haha.

The CTS-V (04-07) is actually pretty aerodynamic (.31 cD) for looking so 'boxy'. What does hurt it a little overall is the 3.73:1 gearing, but even so, I've gotten ~27 mpg for a long stretch if I keep it close to the speed limit (~70 mph), but pure city I may be lucky to get 14-15...Overall combined I've been seeing around 18 mpg, with mostly easy driving, but getting on it here and there. I do shift at or below 2k rpms though, since we have such good torque (LS2; imagine LS6 isn't much worse)

I've noticed it gets ~1 mpg less than I was getting in my GTO, but that had 3.46:1 rear, slightly lighter and about the same cD.

I barely get 16mpg on my daily commute, which is a mix of highway/city. It's pretty poor in my opinion, since I'm hardly hotdogging it. I didn't expect awesome economy, but did figure it'd be in the 18mpg ballpark.

On longer drives (not roadtrips yet) it's like 20-21 which also isn't what I expected.

The tank is also kinda small. Seems like I fill up about every 250 miles give or take?

I get around 17.5 combined, driving sane. I haven't done a good road trip, but I imagine 22-23 to be what I will get. I usually get just under 300 miles to a fill-up of ~16.3 gallons.

With my mods I'm at 16mpg on this current tank and I sit in 5:00 traffic every day with it. I can have tanks with as low as 10mpg of course with this cam, but I can see almost 30 on the highway @ 60mph. I'm getting 23-24 @ 80mph.

At 75, I can get over 27 mpg. I seemed to pick up mpg after the headers/tune then also again after switching all my fluids to Amsoil.
