Why are the specs? I have the V2 at 113 and wish I went with a smaller LSA like 111. You made need to degree it off advertised ICL to cyre ptv. Mine was close with stock head gasket. Just info for ya.

My cam is similar to the TV3 but with more lift and a tad less duration.
If the cam's specs are what you are looking for then do it. Do not settle or buy a cam just because its a good deal. Make sure its what you want.
TSP has a lot of good cams, be sure to check them all out and talk with your tuner.

with the analogies i may just buy new...lol
i probably wont go any more than just a cam some lt's and highflow cats and a tune. I already have magnaflow catback and a k&n panel filter. I like the sound of the cam from everything ive heard. so that was the reasoning behind possibly taking it off this guys hands. Id like to do a lot more but i dont track the car or anything, just spirited driving and id like a nice mean loby idle, but its my daily so i would need the drivability to stay good also.
i think he said something around 300 for it.

A similar analogy is with breast implants. 90% of the women I've spoken with wish they would have gone bigger.

^^^ agreed I paid 350 for a new spec'd grind cam.
And unfortunately I cannot edit posts on techmobile, so I could not clarify my other post, but like I said, have a realistic goal/end point and spec all your mods toward it, and you shouldn't be disappointed, that being said, modding for hp is addictive, and I'll leave it at that

I would buy new since it can be had with a package at TSP for around $349.

He did not say that bigger was better. He said that if you do a small cam you will wish you went bigger. This is what happened to me, I wish I would have gone a bit bigger.

Yeah $300 isn't a good deal on a used cam; however, all the comments about buying a new cam are false. Yeah you get that warm fuzzy feeling saying you bought it new but they are nothing like they were in the past. Roller cams will practically never "wear out". The only time you should be cautious is if it came out of a broken engine. As long as the lobes and journals are clean, there is nothing wrong with buying a used roller cam if the price is right.

I'd never buy a used cam, but I pulled my 60k stock cam out of my car and it looked brand spanking new. They guy that bought it off me said the same thing.
Dont pay $300 for a used cam..that is a terrible price.
I went big on the cam and love it. I daily drive it and sits in rush hour traffic every day with no complaints.

If it's a local you may know about it and the condition of the car. Most of the time a cam swap is simply because you didn't go big enough the first time or they went FI. I was up front about my MS4 I had for sale. It came out of my engine with a broken rod. Consequently, I still have it. I'm sure the chance of finding someone that honest now days is slim though.

We sell new cams for $325 plus shipping. I definitely wouldn't bother spending 300 on that cam. No offense to the cam, but that lift is ridiculous and pointless in a stock headed car.
