CTS-V Car Audio Help Needed BADLY
Hey guys,
I'm at the stereo shop right now. We're putting in a new Sony Nav double din head unit, a sub amp, subs, a 4 channel, and some components. The adaptor that they have gotten for the car apparently will cause me to lose all Class 2 data. What all is this? Anyone know? If it's just OnStar, that's great. I just don't need to be having any big issues. Any and all help is VERY appreciated. Especially expert RAPID help!
Oh, it's an '04 CTS-V.
Thanks,
Jared

Your gonna lose all your customizations, and probably competition mode....the nav is a big part of the car....better to leave it hooked up but installed in the trunk...gonna be a pain to extend all those wires though.

OK. I really appreciate it guys. I didn't even think about Comp mode. That's huge for me, as I will be tracking the car a lot and drive it in Comp mode at least 70% of the time just here on the backroads of Tennessee.
They assure me that the adaptor thing will keep all the Class 2 stuff in tact though. I even called Crutchfield and they said the same. Are you guys positive that I'll lose this?
