Be really careful,and disconnect the battery. Computers/electronics can be ruined by the high voltage/high frequency of ac TIG, or is he going to MIG it?

Had a welder put a patch over the crack and weld around it to contain the crack because it was spreading.

Hmm ok. I'm sure they had to take the pan off didn't they? To seal the inside crack as well? My crack I believe is right over my tubular k-member.

I hope he stop drilled the crack before welding the patch.
