Info needed to install Aeromotive 340 Series PN#11142
Getting ready to install a Aeromotive 340 Series PN#11142. Is there anything special that needs to be done? Also installed Racetronix Cadillac CTS-V Fuel Pump Wiring Harness.

DO NOT INSTALL IT! My 340 fried in two months, aeromotive is claiming the bucket cannot support it, when I get another pump back from them I will test fuel pressure again.

I spoke with Lonnies Performance and they said that the design of the V tank is still not sufficient enough to truly support twin pumps.
If you make big big power, I think the safest way would be to put a fuel cell in the spare tire well. Thats just my .02.

dual 255s will work but also cost around $2k.

I really appericate your telling me but it is an 05 with only 25,000 miles on it and is not my daily driver. I heard that you have to reverse the wiring, do you? I really appericate the help. Is there anything else that you did or you heard needs to be done?

Yea, I have not read anything since on the 340...
I went with the dual gss340's.
Was thinking about the Denso pump, but then would require some basket modification... I went the other route.
The other option is the Kyosan (Modified Denso) 390lph pump. - pn -895091-0810, again basket modification required.. and wiring upgrade as these pumps draw huge current. (double stock)

The wiring will be taken care of with the Racetronix harness. I guess I should just go for it as it will be an "access hole" job anyways so replacement won't kill me if need be.

DO NOT install the pump. Contact Aeromotive first. The return line and regulator is too small for this pump. The base fuel psi will be around 70psi, It WILL burn itself out. Aeromotive was not at fault with my pump failing. The design of the fuel return, bucket and assembly will not work right with this big of a pump! I have had friends use the pump in Camaros with no issues. I have a 255 intank now with no issues. Unless you take the return line and regulator from a camaro, I cannot see this working without too much base fuel pressure.

Ahh, thats nice, so trying to regulate the pump down to 62psi puts tremendous demand on the excess fuel (return line), burning the pump... yea, too big of a pump for the cts-v stock setup I guess.
the twin GSS340 - which does not cost thousands (2K) as itsslow98 pointed out IF you do it yourself... you can cut the cost down big time.
Hotwire kit, 2 x GSS340 pumps, one sock, some fittings, y fitting, braided lines, some beer... quarter the price.
