You do know that it should be negative, right? Factory specs, for reference:

So are the "2nd edition" center caps just going to be mailed out or do we have to email them orwhat? Does anyone have any word on this?

I don't know, and I frankly don't care. It took ten minutes to cut three threads off each stub. Have you tried emailing Peter?

I know that I came off sounding like a jackass, but I'm legitimately annoyed at this one. Between here and the Cadillac Forums, some people have spent 20-30 minutes writing posts and emails about this thing, when it became immediately clear that Forgestar decided against making the modified caps as soon as the the CTS-V community recognized how simple the solution was on our end.

$8 for a set of hardened Sawzall blades and 20 minutes = done. I did mine ahead of time and the wheels slipped right on, caps and all. The guys on this forum deal with harder fitment issues (e.g. catted connectors) all the time.

Maybe if we banded together and complained from the outset, Forgestar would've made the modified caps. But as of right now, there are only 2-3 people complaining.

I emailed on Peter on Sept 11th asking how were the new center caps coming, and of course he didn't answer.

It's not the fact that I can "simply" cut the axles threads. It's the fact I shouldn't have to. If they are going to make new center caps, then f'n make them and ship them out. I'm legitimately annoyed that they half ***'ed a product and leave customers fending for themselves.

Don't be dickroid, let's band together if we really have to. Geesh.

Forgestar didn't half-*** the wheels. We have Frankensteinian stock axle stubs that have at least ten unnecessary threads on the ends. I don't care for the idea of installing weird, bulged-out center caps if Forgestar made them and most of the people I've heard from don't either. The only other alternative was to push the offset of the wheels way out, which was considered unacceptable.

We are still working on the engineer drawings right now. As soon as we approved the drawings and go into production we will make announcement.

Forgestar
Got this yesterday. If you can't wait, do what I originally proposed, and what Fuzzy already did...saws all to the axle shaft.

Yea, I'd like to at least get the promised modified center-caps and see how they look. If I don't like them, I'll cut the axle bolts. I figured that since these are custom wheels they would also customize the center-caps, especially considering we paid like 2 grand for them.

Still no caps. 8 weeks was the 'promise' but it's only been like 20 so we still have time lol.

Thanks. They don't look half bad, need to take pics with a better camera. I honestly thought I'd hate them when I opened the box but now have become quite happy with the look.

Axles got chopped for the rear caps. Silly forgestar people.
