Default Upgrading the intake and TB... Fast 92 and LS2 tb... whatcha think???

Bout to pull the stock LS6 setup off the car cause i found a local deal on a fast setup.

Its a FAST 92mm intake ported by vengeance racing that has been smoothed and painted gloss black with 3 coats of clear and the previous owner added nitrous blowouts on the bottom.

Should the ported 92mm intake be enough for my mods??

Just dont wanna jump at this if the 102mm would be better or make more power? Im assuming the 102 would be overkill though on this motor even if i do plan to go with big heads later.

LMK fellas!!

And also, if anyone has a stock LS2 TB for a good price, lmk!

Ported 92 will be more then enough even if you do heads down the road. Youll see great gains from the FAST especially with a big cam. Plus you could always do direct port nitrous now!

YOU'RE just jealous that I put my car for sale after you, sold it before you, and bought a car that will already give your next imaginery car a run for it's money.

LMMFAO!! I literally just laughed out loud at that last comment u made Allen. haha Cole will never sell that pile of truck garbage but... I'll buy the throttle body off it! lol And i haven't been slackin at all. Just LS1tech'in between sets. lol Gotta give the people something to read.

I figured the 92 would be enough. Just wanted to make sure. I'll be picking it up in the am.

As far as direct port, i can always do that later right? I was just going to buy the 92mm plate for it that will go up to a 400 shot. Figure that will be plenty since i don't plan on running over a 200. Ill be staying on the 150 until i get a boost a pump, fuel rails and the 42lb injectors anyway. And my current zex kit only goes to a 175. Ill have to upgrade all the nitrous stuff later on. lol

Yea you dont really need direct port, and you have to be maxing out your stock pump on 150 shot right now. You wont need injectors or rails if your just upping the shot itll be the pump that needs to be addressed. Id just do an inline 255 instead of the BAP.

I figured if i had the motor built for it and went 300 shot or something, i might do direct port but figured it would be pointless for a 200. And yeah, they said with the 150, im at my limit. It flows enough for the 150 but anymore and it prob wouldn't keep up.

How much would an inline 255 run me?

And the stock rails should be good for a 200? I know the injectors are 28.8 lbs stock. Figured they'd be at their limit with a 200?

Wet kit is getting the fuel from the pump not the injectors. If you had a dry kit the fuel supplied for the nitrous would be handled through the injectors.

Another quick question... Not that this dude would mislead me but with the fast being shaved smooth and painted gloss black, there are no numbers left on it. I can tell its obviously a fast but is there a definite way I should be able to prove that it's a ported fast 92 and not a ported fast 90? It has a 92mm nitrous outlet plate on it that im buying with it and it had a 92mm nick williams throttle body on it but because it's coming off an f-body, it's a cable driven tb so I'll need to get my own electronic tb... Which is why I'm looking for a stock ls2 tb or a deal on a used nick Williams electronic 92.

As for price... He's giving me the ported intake (engraved with VRD on the bottom proving the port work), dual stage 92mm nitrous outlet plate with some extra fittings, jets, etc, a purge solenoid, an extra 14ft nitrous line and some other misc little nitrous parts for $1080.

Seem like a good deal?

Found a 90mm ls2 throttle body online that is said to have come off an 05 GTO with low miles but it appears to be black for $100. Assuming maybe he painted it black... I don't know.

Is $100 a fair price if it is indeed a stock ls2 tb?

Is there a harness or anything else needed to make the ls2 tb work on my car or is it plug and play once the fast is installed?

100 is always what I saw the LS2 tb going for

No... Cable throttle body was not included since it was of no use to me but he did throw in a big NX nitrous solenoid, some braided nitrous lines, activation switch (which i needed), purge with line, etc. So i think it was pretty decent overall. Might have been able to get one cheaper but prob not worth it to wait around for one when this one was local and i can get it over and done with. Dude also said he'd install it for me for free too if i wanted to bring the car over and have him do it.

As far as the pigtail, ill order one. Think its only $50. Ended up agreeing on $80 for the LS2 tb.

For a ported 92 that has the nitrous blow outs installed on the bottom and its all smoothed and painted gloss black, seems like i did alright.
