These were part of the v series drive events which are held at a number of tracks around the country. They were more then likely abused by many many drivers over their short track life. The price point is equivalent to a V with 80k miles or so. The real question is about the drivetrain warranty, if canceled (which I have heard of other track cars that were) then I would stay away, if it's still valid, then it may be an interesting vehicle. Don't forget they will be hard to sell because of the title.

Better off grabbing one on copart with a salvage title. It will run you 30 gs in the end vs 40 just my 2 cents. If your are gonna settle for a dirty title build it yourself and you save huge. Check this one out Ryan http://www.copart.com/c2/homeSearch....SEARCH_RESULTS. Guarantee you you could get it under 30 and it will run you around 30 when you finnish building that light hit. Fender and bumper and you are set. Plus the engine here has seen much less abuse.

I doubt very seriously that their is structural frame damage. Maybe a tweaked frame rail, which isnt a big deal in a body shop. If the damage was really that bad than the bags would have gone off. Fenders, Door, Bumper, maybe hood. Possibly head light housings, and minor suspension parts. Wheels probably need to be refinished?
All in all thats a hell of a deal. I wouldnt pay $50000 for a car that has been raced for 1000 miles. On an average track, Thats about 800 laps. I would at most do $40k. If theyre letting everyday joe's drive them than thats no worse than what I would do to that thing on a regular basis

They are designed to take a beating, but some items will wear out. They question is will it be major or minor things, and if major will they be covered by any type of warranty.
I'm thinking simple items will be things like pads, rotors, wheel bearings, shocks, rod ends, etc.
Major would be tranny, clutch, diff, etc.
You can replace the simple items easily within the cost savings cushion, the majors would be much tougher.

3k miles is a lot. The average track is anywhere from 1 to 1.5 miles. Thats over 2000 laps in a years time. These car's are subjected to a lot harsher circumstances than you taking your car to the track. The engine oil should be replaced daily or each weekend of a typical track vehicle. Trans and diff fluid a little less often. Are these cars warmed up and cooled down. While it sounds minimal, it changes the elements in the oils. $30k, Hit, $40k, Skip.

What classifieds are you talking about? And how do you know they are going to feed you "a bunch of crap"? I would think that its worth a try at least. Maybe they are not "just like every other auto place" that has taken advantage of you in the past. Just maybe college auto sales is a honest auto place that will answer your questions, honestly. It's worth a try. You need the # ?

The bunch of crap is he refering to is the crap that any car lot will feed you to sell the car. They may not out right lie to you, but they will ease the truth to increase the likely hood that they will sell a car to you. I have yet to meet any car salesman that is 100% up front and honest about everything with a car. A car dealer is a business, and they are there to make money. If they tell someone that X Car was trashed, beaten, and hung out to dry on a daily basis, 99.99% of the time people will just walk away. Especailly with a $42k dollar that most people will be trying to finance. And with the branded title, it will be very diffuculy to do that at a term and rate any sane person would be willing to accecpt.
Why don't you call them then, and post your results with your encounter...or maybe you know dick about these cars and will believe anything they tell you. Either way, you sir, are about as retarded as they come.

What the hell are you talking about dude? You call me retarded? You don't even know me mf.
I find it Hilarious that you speak for wcryan. You two really good friends huh. lol and i am sorry that
you both have been taken advantage of by car salesman. That is very sad.
Everything else about financing, vehicle condition and what 99.99% of people would do is what? You talking to yourself I guess
Now I won't go as far as to call you retarded, but I bet you are young, (under 30) and possibly abused as a small child. Sexually would be my guess.
As far as info from classic, i will call them. How else will anybody here know what the deal is?

I hurt his feelings...aww, how sad...now, since you seem old and confused I will answer your questions and statements in your post...
You're an idiot that came in here spewing garage.
Yes I did...and you proved my point. And by saying "mf", you may have the intelligence of a 13 year old year with an extra chromosome.
Speaking for him, I am not. I just hate when newbies post asinine comments like you did. And I never even met the guy, just making fun of him on here for being a **** with a 07 Truck Motor V.
I have never been “taken advantage” of when buying a car from a dealer. I grew up selling cars and motorcycles with my dad. So I know how the business works. I don't fault them for trying to sell a car that is their job after all. But I am just smart enough to know, unlike yourself, that they are trying to sell you something. So the truth will be stretched.
I am 26 years old...what’s your point. I bet in my short adult life I have done more meaningful things. And more than likely lived more then you have in you pitiful excuse for an exist that you have. I have you jerk off with your tears for lube when you look back at how sad and pathetic your life has been. Well, that is after you pop a couple Viagra to cure the ED you got when you had your nuts removed. Sexual abuse comes with being an alter boy...HELLO FATHER!
Good luck...maybe that’s what you should have done before you just spewed your garage of a comment. Good luck in your endeavor...hopefully they won't will treat like the lady you are.
