Default WTB head lights

My headlights are foggy, so I'm wanting to replace them. I'd prefer to pick up a set that are smoked but don't have to be. Pm or text 573-450-0465 thanks

foggy like moisture inside or like oxidized outside? if the lenses are oxidized outside you can spend $20 for a 3M headlight polish kit and they will look brand new.

Looks like both, I've tried the headlight restore kit with no luck. I'm crossing my fingers that someone has a set or knows where I can get them.

I found a decent set on there, but I've gotta be sure they are correct. Is there any diff between cts and V lights? Other than the xenon?

I had the same issue with mine....It turned out to only be oxidized on the outside... The worst I've ever seen. I bought the 3m restore kit from O'reilly and it wasn't cutting it so I bought some adhesive backed sandpaper and cut it to fit on the 3m kit. I had to start with a MUCH more aggressive grit than comes with the kit and work my way to finer and finer paper. Took around 3 hours per light but I liked that idea way more than buying a set. If you're gonna buy a set anyway why not spend $20 on some lower grit and try it?

I had my 99 Z28 inspected last month and for the first time in 19 years I was told my head lights would Not pass inspection. I have had them professionally cleaned as well as doing it myself a few times but the oxidation always come back. If it is a Safety Feature that would cause it to fail an Inspection then I wonder why they ever started using them instead of real Glass lamps? GM should be ashamed. Safety First!

Buy these. Depo brand. They are factory replacement, and are wonderful.

You can read my review, see some pics and get the part numbers to search. I ordered a set from Rock Auto.

The government assumed we as drivers are idiots and we will crash. In the event of WHEN we crash, the government has deemed it to be safer to have plastic instead of glass on the headlights of your car so the glass will not cause more bodily damage in case a headlight flies through windshields, and further lacerate your meat bag fleshy body. Dont be angry at GM, be angry at the leftists that scolded people and pleaded to make the government make cars safer.

TL;DR, The government has said you are dumb and said no glass headlights for you.

That being said, I rather enjoy my 1995 Infiniti G20 with glass headlights and a HID retrofit that looks great with zero beam scatter.

Interesting, I have wondered about this for a while with my 2nd gen t/a. I hate the look of the aftermarket 4x6 projectors. Always wondered how hids would do in a glass housing. Hate idiots that blind the crap out of everyone.
