Default Brake Pedal Feel Question

Question: when you park the car, are you able to press the pedal all the way to the floor?

Basically, I'm just questioning my brake bleeding job from earlier (I pulled some air into the master a month or so back). My Motive Power Bleeder did a pretty good job of expunging a lot of bubbles, but I still wonder if actually I got 'em all.

Thanks!

It might go to the floor but you'd pretty much have to stand on it.

*sigh*

Sounds like I'm going to have the do the ABS trick and bleed the brakes again.

Why would you want to?

It's kind of a backwards way of saying, "when the car is stopped, can you press the pedal to the floor?" because I don't want to ask people if they can put the pedal to the floor when they're driving.

supposedly the abs valves relax/open after 5mph or something like that. I've always wanted to bleed with the car on stands and wheels off..with the wife making sure it doesn't go too fast...but then I have visions of her jamming the pedal and sending fluid everywhere so I nix that idea.

You scare me sometimes. If you're going to try that, why not put the car up on stands and run it on cruise control?

Sounds perfectly safe to me!

I suggest you use a power bleeder. Hassle free and much faster than traditional brake bleeding. Air can get trapped in several places on a vehicle with big calipers and ABS systems. A few simple pumps of the brake pedal won't cut it.

Read my original post. I started with the Motive Power Bleeder.

Wow, I completely missed that! Sometimes that last sentence gets mixed up with those little blinking pop up adds.
Anyway, do it again, you still have air in your lines.

I don't think cruise control works below 20 mph. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

dont bleed with the car moving..just running.. the brake booster helps force fluid thru the abs block, lines and calipers faster than with out it.. start at the drivers front go to the driver rear and then passenger rear then front. crack, pedal, close, repeat.

With the motive power bleeder on one end and the mity vac on the other, I doubt I need to pump the brakes. If someone thinks otherwise, let me know. Probably going to try it tonight.

Calm down fuzzbuster.. I said put it on stands... 24000lb capacity, each. The car isn't going anywhere unless there's an earthquake.

Engaging the abs is about as good as turning up the stereo to get old fluid out. You'll never get it all unless you use a tech2.

If you got air in the abs module a tech 2 is your only hope
