They don't come black. The black ones u see are painted or plasti-dipped and the actual center of the emblem is changed to black with a pre-cut decal u can order from 8thdaycreations or eBay.

You could also just get a piece of sticky Black Vinyl, cut it the shape of the Shield, and stick it on there...will cost you less the $5...

they seem small time. I can ask my friend who works in a printing/cutting shop if 8thday isnt getting them done to make a run of em.
I never had an issue with 8thday.
But I am now looking into getting a emblem cut from aluminum and havign it brushed. Replace the whole thing instead of the overlay.
hard to see in that picture. But my vinyl friend also inlayed the corvette and LS2 lettering and I put the logo on the FRCs as well.
Only shot I have of the inlays
I never had an issue with 8thday.
