yea only way i would change my setup is to go to something like this that replaced a majority of the stock assembly.. i understand that the connection at the trans is still an issue but this is deff a step in the right direction

If you really wanted to be able to stiffen things up I would make the stock mount also attach to the back of the trans (it so it stays at the correct height without bolting to the body.) Then you could remove any ties to the body. The biggest problem is that with the shifter tied to the body and trans you need some flexibility in the system.
