I assumed you wanted the Al housing. If not, I will take it.

I am going to pick all of them up and blast them in my media cabinet at the house and probably primer paint/POR-15 them.

Just depends what you want.

Just ran across this, interesting idea to make the diff into a torque arm style mount.

Is that for a solid axle mustang?

Thanks brother! Not sure how I missed your response.

We are a ways away from that, but Gulf is making some progress.

He has had some parts come in and we are looking at some other alternatives for the DS, but are at a stand still for the axles.

We will be getting together early next week to churn out a few more sets of brackets; shooting for about 5 sets, but hopefully will get 3 done.

I am thinking I will have to get a Vendor setup, I guess, if I am wanting to sell these here.

More to come.

I hope every one had a Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas and will have a SAFE New Year's Eve.

Were you guys looking at Driveshaft Shop's CTS-V axles, or something else, like the Camaro axles? I assume you're planning on using the CTS-V 1-piece carbon fiber driveshaft, as mentioned earlier. Obviously, users could save $600 and limit themselves to 150 mph, but I'd never want to do that. The car really doesn't want to stop accelerating once you hit 135 mph.

If you come up with something, would you rather just sell the brackets, or is the fitment something that requires you to recommend or (if you prefer) sell a specific 8.8 pumpkin?

And I seriously doubt you need to become a vendor just to do the community a service by selling a couple of home-made brackets. I'll back you up there.

I am looking at offering levels of the brackets.

Here is my plan:

1. Blueprints for the DIYer that just wants to cut a set out and on their own.
2. Flash drive CAD so someone could take it to a local shop and have them professionally water/laser jetted.
3. Unwelded brackets.
4. Welded brackets

If we start sourcing housings, then yes we could, but we are more of DIYers, so that is what we are catering towards.

With that said, if I need to come up with a package of sourts, I have not problem in doing that as well.

Axles: At this point, the market offerings is what it is. We have not come up with an alternative.

DS: We are working on an adapter to use the stock unit.
Gulf has ordered some other parts that we will be mocking up in the next few weeks. If these work then there should be another option for a one piece DS.

Pumpkins: I think any of them will work; the ones that are listed in the first post here.

This is what i like to hear. Even if i had to buy the existing axles and drive shaft, the brackets should not be all that hard to make. Heck a lot of local shops will cut stuff out for cheap and save on a lot of shipping cost as well.

Here's the much lower pricing plan as well:

1.$496
2.$497
3.$498
4.$499

Thanks bud!

On a side note, do you hang out at CK5 at all?

I have a 1985 Suburban that I grafted a Blazer on to, so I have a Topless Suburban or a 4 door Blazer. The tailgate works and everything. lol

I just narrowed the front Rockwell axle so it would be the same width as a set of 1-tons and match the rear Rockwell axle.

I also raised all of the wheel wells, shaved the rocker panels and plan on running 54" Boggers or Claws when I am done.

Hopefully you can find a way to get good material utilization out of your cut plan. I could see even making the two halves of the hoop separate then welding them together to fit them together on a smaller stock piece.

You can cut the differential ring out and the scrap center, I believe, is big enough to cut the front mount out of.

The above steel should make 12-16 sets.
