Default Clicking from the back of the car...

Getting a click from the rear section of the car, thought it was my diff(wouldn't be the first one) but I have since ruled that out and I am lost on what may be causing this.

I'm going to propose something REAL basic so please don't be offended. Have you checked the tires for rocks/debris?

Thought about this too, once drove 150 miles with a wrench stuck in a truck tire(punctured and sticking out, while somehow not losing all pressure), tires are worn but fine.

Crossed my mind, I may do some adjusting and see what happens. It just really sounded like a differential on it's way out even though I know it isn't.

I think I need to stick my go pro under my car and see how my 8.8 and delrin cradle bushings are holding up. Just replaced my 8.8 bushings as well after pulling one of these(see pic). Car runs smooth just a click here and there almost like something is binding.

I remember your other post.

Do you have any play in the front pinion?

Last I checked everything seemed solid to me, the only thing I've noticed is a little rotational slack in there allowing the ds to turn back and forth a little when the car is in gear which is to be expected with these things.

damnit, those are the prothane bushings right? What caused this? I have the same ones installed.

If you replaced them with derlin im going to guess thats the scource of your click. did you grease the snot out of them? When my SWerks cradle bushings were first installed i didnt grease them and they clicked and creaked like a old wooden ship.. pulled them greased them with marine grease.. quiet for 20-30k

My bushing failure appears to be a one off production defect, This happened with a couple hundred miles on the bushing so I wouldn't worry about it if I was you. The delrin is in the cradle mounts, but I'm going to check my endlinks again, they should be neutral set but I won't put it below me to have screwed something up there, just need to get it on a lift.

Diagnosed. After much careful consideration and many expletives I found my culprit: Internal diff problems, suckers getting torn down soon.

dayum that sucks.. what is it exactly internally? pinion not setup right, allowing to much slack/play in the worm gears making it click and clunk

At this point I just need to pull it apart and look, the thing was perfect for about 500 miles. Been funky every since the bushing broke, there isn't an excessive amount of play but something is out of alignment.
