Cannot say from experience but...Eibach is a well known brand. So is hypercoil, I will be going with either one of them.

Ok guys, before I start this install can anyone answer these two questions:

1) Is there anything I need to purchase that was not included with the kit? Someone said you needed to buy the nuts that go onto the bottom of the rear shocks but my kit has some hardware in it.

2) Do I need to make any adjustments to the coilovers (other than ensuring they are the same length side to side) or install them as they came out of the box? I am referring to how far the shock body is screwed into the lower housing. I know my main height adjustment should come from the spring perches.

Sorry but this is my first time installing coilovers with the exception of a set of koni's/strano's on an f-body.

1.) no everything is included.

2.) I would put 5mm of preload on your front coilovers. Also You will have to do some trial and error. I.e. make sure you install them the same length then put the car on the ground take measurements (center of wheel to fender lip) to make sure its equal side to side and at the height you like and then readjust if necessary

Ok when you say 5mm of preload does that mean the shock would be threaded into the lower housing that far? Sorry I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff but I'm learning.

It means once you have the shock and spring all together. You run up the two rings that hold up the spring until you start to get the slightest resistance from the spring. Then tighten the spring an additional 5-10mm.

This website might explain it better:

Ok. And it looks like I have yup have the old front out and remove the top mount before I can set my preload on the springs. Correct?

Id also set them about a 1/4 of a inch higher than you want because you will have some settleing in them. Id say after a couple weeks they should be settled where they will ride. Ive had several kw kits on other cars and thats the general amount of time it took before i wanted to re-adjust them up a little.

I could not find the original M14x2.0x nut so I went with all new hardware. I think it was a 5/8".

Looks like I'm going to have my QA1's rebuilt instead of installing these. (Barter system with a guy at work)
I don't feel like taking a bunch of pictures and posting on Ebay. PM me if your interested, include your zip.
Shipping to the east cost is about $50.00
