Here in Chicago I driver her all year round. I switch back to my stock wheels with Dunlop Winter Sport M3's mounted and all is well.

I have winters on my stock wheels I drove around last year on them for a little while and got stuck 2 times and said nope all set. I got an old F150 now with 4x4 and some serious tires on it. Much Much Better

I put a set of Pirelli sottozero tires on mine. Coming from Michelin Pilot Sport A/S - night and day difference.

I have no problem driving it in cold/snow/and some ice as long as you know what you are doing. Take it easy and don't do anything stupid.

With the tires, traction control, abs, and stability control - I feel pretty confident in and around Denver. I can stop/turn as well or better then almost anyone else on the road. Acceleration is acceptable. I don't worry about being 'that guy' stuck at a light on a slope spinning their tires.

Another guy with snows here (Nokian WR). The car goes from a white knuckle car to a pretty decent snow car by just changing the tires. If you want to compare it AWD or a 4x4, then it's not so great. But, if you pay attention, lug the engine when slippery, and leave the nannies on, it's a good winter car, and it warms up quickly. It's actually one of the better winter cars I've owned. The way I see it, it's not worth that much anyhow. Why would I save it for someone else to buy cheap and destroy. I'm going to enjoy it daily.

I drive mine all year. I have michelin pilot sport a/s on it. It's not spectacular, but it's manageable. I've got a silverado with 35in m/t's on it tho for the deep stuff

I was snowed in that day. Went and bought some Dunlop Winter Sport M3's shortly thereafter, been totally mobile since then.

I went from an Audi A4 avant quattro with Hankook iPike winter rubber to my 06 V. I drove it all last winter with Nitto SN2 winter tires and never had an trouble in our Ontario winter. It's just a mid sized RWD GM. And it's only 400hp if you floor it. People have been driving RWD for decades and didnt even have the modern tires and LSD we do.

In short our cars are damn good in the snow with proper tires.
