"un-paired" 2005 CTS-V Keyless Entry Key FOB - Help
So I recently got my 05' V and I love it. That being said from the day I got it one of the TPMS Sensors wasn't working, so with a bit of googling I tried the re-pairing process to see if it had just somehow fallen out of wack. That being said I could only get 3 of the sensors to pair and kinda just let it go. I plan to get the 4th replaced as soon as I have time. (only reason I even cared was to be able to access competitive driving mode etc). Well that was a week ago then yesterday my keyless entry quit working, figured it was the battery. Got home and swapped it today and no go. Then thought maybe it had something to do with the pairing of the TPMS, and sure enough now all of my tires read "--" and the car will go into the other driving modes. This tells me its forgotten all of them, which is what I've read can happen, however its also "forgotten" my key FOB. I know people say this has to be done at the dealership, but I can't imagine the car actually forgot the remote, it just somehow 'un-paired' with it. I assume there is some sort of way to re-pair them?
Thanks for the help, any nudge in the right direction would be appreciated. Best case scenario I'd be able to pair the key FOB and not have to worry about the TPMS until I get the time to drop the car off.

1. Close all the vehicle doors.
2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
3. Press and hold the door unlock switch.
4. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
5. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
7. Repeat the previous step to program up to 4 transmitters.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter programming mode.
9. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operatio
Try that. I remember having to hold unlock and lock once, because my old CTS forgot the keyfob. Mind you that was a CTS and not a V, but it was a first gen one.

Put a new battery in it and hold it down both unlock and lock for about 10 seconds outside the car near the passenger side. When my FOB battery died and I put a new one in, it wouldn't just unlock and lock. I had to hold both down for about 10 seconds and then it started working again.

check the fuses behind your seat man I'm dealing with the same bullsh!t right now. My guess one of them is blown...if it is just replace it...if its not its your control/receiver module. Check them and update
For your sake I hope its just the battery, however for me its never that simple
And if your tpms is also messed up I'll bet my left nut its not the battery because tpms, fob, and trunk are all connected

All of this is connected at the trunk open fuse and further by the radio control module located drivers side of the rear dome light under the headliner.
My question is if the radio control module is bad wouldn't my radio reception be bad as well?
I am getting clear xm/fm/am but fob and trunk don't work...and further mytrunk open fuse keeps blowing as soon as I try to replace it
Assuming some wire coming off my module is grounding somewhere
As for you moon cricket check that the bolt in the light is tight before ripping it apart since that is the ground for the antenna module. And stop trying to reprogram the fob that has nothing to do with it. Its not a new fob so there is no need to reprogram the problem is elsewhere
