Default Fair price on blower and supporting mods

So, I've got a guy interested in trading stock intake, pulleys, etc plus cash for my setup. I've got an mp112(6500), with quick change hub, 2.7 pulley, innovators west 8 rib setup( about 2000) kenne bell 40 amp bap, and a meth kit that mounts in the spare tire well. What would be a fair price?

I dont want to be an a$$, but anyone paying more than 4000 for a complete used 112 at this point is a sucker. The 112 will always have a limit. 500hp maybe a bit more with supporting mods...with all the new kits out for our car save the extra g and buy something that has a potential for growth. keep the meth kit for a different project. Sorry I know thats not what you want to hear

I'm just looking for input man. I'm honestly looking to go procharger. Just a potential scenario where I can get a factory intake, pulley setup, etc to use with the new setup, instead of gathering parts, then selling the blower and such. I was thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of 5k and swap parts. The blower and 8 rib setup were about 8500-9000 new. Seems reasonable, but just want to make sure I'm not shafting him or me.

How many miles on the MP112? About $4k just for that isn't out of the question depending on mileage. Too many miles would call for sending it back to Magnuson for a rebuild. There are very few used, decent MP112s floating around on the market right now.

I'd peddle the 8-rib setup and meth kit separately.

As far as "other kits" out there, what other kits?

As far as being limited to 500 rwhp, so what ... it's still a lot of fun.

Btw, I paid $4.2k for my used polished maggie with a couple of hundred miles on it back in spring of '07. I've had zero problems with it.

What would be considered low, to moderate miles? When would you need a rebuild performed? How much does that run?

I'd say about 15k on blower. As far as parting out, I'm not there yet. I'm only considering this because I'd have all the stock parts for the procharger, and a large chunk of the money I'd need for the kit. Would prolly be driving around stock for a couple months before doing the procharger.

With the price jump from maggie 4k would be a far price for it all with the current miles..

That was my point 4k max for a used unpolished maggie w 20k miles max on it with every little screw included,... sell the other parts separate. The eforce is out...and the procharger if you know how to customize. Reason there are so few around is because noone is stupid enough to buy a new one for anything close to msrp. The only ones left are those that were bought when they just came out in 05, and the ones bought during the hendrix $4500 special< brand new. Since then they have been going from car to car. And where I said 500 thats requiring a cam as well, aside from all the other boltons... Don't get me wrong 500 is great, but I hate to ever be in a position where I know there is no room to grow

Mine hit 518/531 with no cam, stock motor, headers, magnaflow, and meth. The meth has been tuned out since.

I've heard guys who bought them with supposedly "low miles" and had to send them back to Magnuson because they sounded like marbles rattling around, but there are other guys who've got 100k on 'em with no issues (ronr for one). I'm right at 31k at the moment. Not sure how to provide counsel to someone who's looking at one with, say, 20k on it. Also, not sure on cost.

I think a rebuild would be up to the buyer but once the blower hit 30K i would strongly consider it.

bearings wear, its a part of life. if the blower sounds good i wouldnt bother spending the money rebuilding. there are a million blown cars that have 100k plus with no issues. now with all this said and the price of the maggie new and all other options being alot of fab...4k really isnt that bad concidering its bolt on power that in most cases come with a warranty.

That would be my inclination, for sure. I think Magnuson had a quality problem there for a while that showed up earlier than 20k miles. This one is probably past that point.
