Default Bad ABS Sensor - Service Stability System?

I picked up a "Service Stability System" message in the DIC after hitting a moderate bump in the road this week. What are the chances that this is a case of the connector working itself loose versus needing a new wheel bearing/ABS assembly?

If I need the latter, would you recommend OEM GM parts (roughly $260 for a pair), or one of the various aftermarket parts (roughly $75 for a pair)?

Question still valid--but I did some research into bearing manufacturers and it seems like the Timkin HA590079 is the best available. $152 apiece on Amazon.

Haven't had time to check yet. Will report back later--possibly this weekend.

The SWPS (steering wheel position sensor) seems to be the leading cause of GM Stabilitrac problems...check DTC's before jumping ahead.

I'd guess swps fluke as well. I've gotten one per year, approximately. Goes away when I turn the car off and on.

i had an abs sensor connection pop loose. I'd take a quick peak at all 4, while you run the codes, or even before. For reference mine was the left front.

I've had an intermitant problem before (hitting bumps would trigger it sometimes) cleaning the wheel sensor conection in question with a small needle file corrected it, but I have a reader that will tell me the code for specific sensors.

If you do end up having to replace one of the hubs, RockAuto has the Timken HA590079 for $130.79 a piece.

I had the same issue in my car and it actually ended up being that the harness that routes along side the radiator on the passenger had rubbed through the shielding causing it to short out occasionally. I'd have to thank the previous owner for that one.

if you are going to replace the hubs might as well upgrade to the STS-V X-tracker hubs.
