Its the stupid covers that make the factory lug nuts look pretty.

Yep, need about 6 of them. Figured someone who converted to aftermarket lugs would have some laying around. They are almost 6 bucks each from the dealer.

I'd expect you, of all members, to know all the intricacies of the little aluminum cap that goes over the otherwise ugly looking lug nuts... since you know about everything on these cars.

OP, dealer only part. We used to break those stupid things on a regular basis at the tire shop. We kept a bag of them on hand to replace them as they broke. ($7/hr doesn't guarantee the most careful work)

Best part is when the car gets old and the thing rusts between the lugnut and the cover and expands just enough that your lug wrench doesn't fit anymore. Hated that on my LSC.

I've broken those things off before. And when I did, I replaced all of the lugs with McGard Spline Drive lugs. Never looked back. If you just want chrome lugs, you may want to note that many eBay vendors sell a set of 24 solid chrome lug nuts on eBay for less than $25 including shipping. For instance:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-Closed-End-Bulge-Acorn-Wheel-Lug-Nuts-M12x1-5-19mm-Hex-Qty-24-/140903270160?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20ce7d4710&vxp=mtr
And another cheap option:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/24-GORILLA-SPLINE-TUNER-LOCK-LUG-NUT-12X1-5-1-5-ACORN-WHEELS-RIMS-CHROME-CLOSE-L-/400277758160?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5d3269e0d0&vxp=mtr
If you want black lugs, you absolutely must get McGards. Take it from my experience--all other brands chip and flake away.
