Wow that's cool. I didn't know GM even knew what carbon fiber was at that point. Everyone is talking like these will be some collector cars... I hope your right. But I'm not holding my breathe.

i worked on getting my summit radiator modded to fit in my car with the stock fans.
what a pita. i should have just bought a fan/shroud combo and moved on to bigger things on this turd.
the 80e is in, only needs to come out one ore time for the shift kit.
shes gettig very close, i cant wait to do some dirty 3rds in her

summit rad with cooler is 180$ alradco is 500$ with no cooler.
i have more time then $$ and i enjoy the build even if i hate it at the time.
the v6 rad is only 3/4" thick and that shity plastic , the alradco and summit are 2" think
ill make a therad at some point or just keep adding to my old build on here

Feels slightly firmer in the rear, but really all I've done so far is drive it around the block when I was done putting it back together and to work this morning. There is a lot less driveline clunk and I can clearly hear my diff whine now from the diff bushing and block. I didn't expect a whole lot of difference in ride/handling. Mostly I did it for peace of mind and a small step towards reducing wheel hop.

I removed my ashtray and installed a little shelf where it was because I find this car lacking in storage space for all the crap I carry around on a daily basis and the ashtray was a waste.
I had a buddy CNC a 1/4 piece of aluminum with a 1/16 recess cut in it so I could flush mount the mouse pad I cut to fit. I took a piece of black poster board to make a surround for the sides and the back. The space underneath the tray is used for storing my phone charger which I use now off the backseat lighter socket because it's actually more convenient that way with the phone sitting in the console. I cut the 12V lighter socket plug up front and plan on using that power source for something else when the time comes.
It looks better in person.

While not as exciting as all the stuff you guys are doing currently, but my day will come for all the glitter and chrome as I have to drive mine everyday just now.
A week or so ago, I installed a set of "4 note" old school Cadillac horns on the V because our stock horns suck so so bad. Cost $18 with a trip to the junkyard and I had to drill no holes or remove bumper cover to do it. It gets peoples attention.

I like your console setup a lot. I'd be a little worried about banging knuckles on the shelf and without a lip on the front edge I'd also worry about things flying off of it during hard acceleration. When I have the ashtray open to access coins for tolls I've had the coins fly back when leaving the toll gate.

The shelf has a nice slope on it and is surfaced with a mouse pad so tossing stuff hasn't been a problem.
The shifter and the shelf are nowhere close to being a knuckle busting affair.
