Did this recently. One headlight untreated, the other after it was treated.

That looks nice and polished out, but I take it that it wasn't sprayed with a UV resistant clear coat based on the kit. If not, it'll look like it did before or worse in short order. The original lens had a UV coating that wore off over time. You'll need to replace that to maintain the integrity of the work you just put into it.

I high speed orbital polisher goes a long way in the time-spent department. A detailer friend of mine knocks them out in about 15 minutes. I think he picked his little air unit up for about $100.

I used the Sylvania kit as well, and it worked great! Thanks for the recommendation.

The same on my MM's

You also have to dent the primaries on steering shaft?

How long does it takes to change everything?

Regards,
Ronald

I actually did not have to dent the header at all, I just took the shaft off to get the header in and then put the shaft back in. I have about 1/4 clearance. It took me a total of about 6 hours with zero help!

Nice work, I'm guessing you had no seized or broken manifold studs. I believe the denting is not for installation clearance, but to prevent interference after installation, when things start moving. If you begin to feel vibrations in your steering column, you'll know what it is.

I used liquid wrench the night before removal and they all came out no problem with 116k. You could be right, I figured with a 1/4" clearance I would be ok but it may touch at some point.

You got lucky with your exhaust bolts then. Many of these cars have a bolt head snapped off due to the failed motor mounts. My passenger side rearmost bolt was headless and I had to pull the head to have it removed. It did give me the chance to fully clean up the top end and replace the lifters and valve springs at 104k.
