V owner's other cars
#21
I've got my V, and my wife has a '02 Tahoe that we use for camping/towing and she DD's when it's crappy out, and a Saturn SL2 that's an all-around beater. Burns oil and smokes coolant, but still gets near 40mpg and has working AC, so I can't complain.

The V gets semi daily use in the summer. Also ride my 07 Yamaha Vmax and 08 Yamaha Raider S in the summer months.
Once the snow melt stuff goes on the roads the old 96 chevy 1500 4x4 comes out. The only other car is my wife's 02 Cadillac Deville.
Have had around 35 or so different vehicles (including bikes) over the years. The CTS-V is one of my favorites. Still not nearly as fast as the Vmax .

Did the suspension 15+ years ago, I think it's about ready again. Engine/trans were done 12 years ago, probably 5K miles since then. Took it to a few track days, but really needs better brakes and coilovers to do that seriously.
Yep, looks crazy.

Would love to see pictures and details on the Z. I cut my teeth on a 280zx, hybrid turbo, bigger injectors, MSnS, the whole bit. Made ~325hp when I was done with it. I have a pretty nice early 260 dash if you are in the market.
Back on topic with the thread.
DD and occasional tow vehicle is the Raptor, it makes a horrible tow rig with the soft rear springs.
When I want to go fast, head cam 09 z06.
When I want to go REALLY fast. Twin Turbo V
And finally, when I'm out picking up the ladies the turbo Ruckus does the job every time.

My DD is an '11 Chevy Cruze ECO, 1.4T, 6MT. Night and day difference from the V.
Wife drives a '12 SRX.
We have a three-place garage. Any bigger, and I'd have more cars.

My DD is a 1997 2 Door Tahoe Z71 and I have a 2003 Suzuki GSXR 1000. Pics are somewhere, I will post soon. Fiance drives a 2006 Suzuki Forenza.
I have had several motorcycles and many cars, V is the favorite, the 2 door is my second one so I can kind of partial to them.

V is my DD 365 even in the snow. I had a silver/black 2001.5 Audi A4 1.8 Turbo that nothing was stock... GT28R turbo, front mount, Stoptech brakes, stiff track setup coilovers, and... lots of supporting mods. Track *****, DD, winter taxi for the family through many bad foot+ storms. Cant do the latter with my V. Odd feeling of driving SUV and not one my prior Audis when the snow comes...but no choice when the wife has the SUV.
Wife drives our Saab 97X.

I average about 75k miles a year
I daily a 14 Fusion Hybrid. Love this thing.
And my V which is a weekend/trip car
Previous cars for the hell of it.
13 Flex as the last daily I really really miss it, almost considering trading in the V on a ecoboost AWD and tuning it up a bit.
Previous toy
96 Camaro
The v def is a better road tripper but the camaro had heated seats in dash sat radio hidden radar detector etc etc
Like the others I did the Legacy thing for awhile too
Hmm
2006 Pacifica
1996 Camaro HCI
1993 Trans Am Hotcammed
1992 Camaro TBI
1994 Suburban
1992 Honda
1993 Honda
1994 Escort
Feel like I am missing many as well.

V was my DD in Texas...then I moved to to California, and now drive 135-140 miles round trip for work. Now I drive this pile of **** everyday, while the **** collects dust in the garage.
1996 Saturn SE1...not even 100,000 miles, and I have put close to 5,000 on it since I bought it 6 weeks a go.
It may be a heap...but it goes from point A to B, get almost 40mpg combined, and I do not care when I here all the rocks hitting the front end...
Past cars:
2007 CTS-V: Hated it when I owned it, some what miss it now that I don't have it.
2007 Kia Spectra5: bought for my brother after his car wreck, drove it he started driving/working again
2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac: hands down the best and most reliable vehicle I driven
1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP: minor mods, totaled
1996 Oldsmobile Aurora: blown head gasket, never repaired
1991 VW Fox: great little car, dad sold it after I moved away
