Supposedly it is 14-16ga vs 20ga wiring, and it has a direct hookup to the main power supply, so the power drop should be much less.

I am curious to try, so will buy a kit for my truck, and see how it pans out for me. If i get more out of her, then great, if not, its just $55 shipped to me..

My truck is runnin dual battery setup, a stock 5.3 with volant intake, 90mm tb, Vararam wedge, headers, stock Denali catback, and one step colder plugs, made 300 hp/lbft on the dyno, i didnt see the numbers with the meth activated...

Will post my findings.
The kit arrived today, not the best finish, but i am gonna install it as is on my truck, the next kit i am goin to install a waterproof relay with cleaner terminals...

Lets see if i can get my truck does any better...

The msd ls coil harness is a hit with me, my butt dyno noticed more pull. Down low and my idle quality is so much better than before given the fact that today is about 110f

I finally got a call back,

There seems to be a short in the harness, and to fix that will cost 2K and take 3 weeks...he has to be high as the clouds, i will buy a new engine harness for less.

I am goin to see the car and find out what he needs, i rather have the car take up my garage space and work on it on my free time than pay his price with a maybe it will work.

My plan is to fit the original harness, get the car to start, than buy another ecm, program it and try again, this way i save $1,500 and finish around the same time...

Haynes or chilton for the shop manual?

The guy wanted to alter the body harness and told me that the engine computer has locked so what I will do is order a new EcM from Amazon have to shipped to my guy at LPE let them program it and ship it to me I will then perform a DVT and unlock the immobilizer using the original PCM with the two keys once I do that i will swap to the new harness and leave it be.

It should work as before, and run as i intend it to run...

Total cost minus labor $400 plus maybe $200 in labor unless i buy a tech 2 with software and be done with it for a total cost of $750.

My time is free, and so i am not worried

My lil black hole is back in her spot. I am goin to try a simple bypass.

I am goin to check if the start/run relay is gettin power, if #30 and #86 are showin positive, and #85 is just missin the ground i will splice in a ground so i may run and drive the car, afterwards i will order the haynes and chilton manuals and dig up the reasons for it not workin...

Time to start makin progress again.

Question, can an ecu lockup due to antitheft? Or is it just a bcm issue?

I've seen shorted batteries, lightning strikes, and welding snafus cause such issues. Those power surges terminate in different places causing multiple shorts in multiple systems that are difficult and time consuming to diagnose. Hoping you get this worked out soon, I hate it when I have a car down.

Naf, I ran a nationwide check through a source.
That part number is discontinued and there are none left at any dealer in the US.
Salvage yard maybe or ebay...

Confirmed my ecu is locked, everything has power except the injectors, which is a vats protocol

Plan A is to get the car started usong the oem harness, fun stuff.
Plan A-1 is to try the ecm with new I/P harness and see if it unlocks on its own.
If that doesnt work i will take the ecm with me to the states and ask someone to unlock it.
If that is not an option, then i will purchase a new ecm and bcm, flash them as a 06 and be done with it all.

Harness and books arrived today.

The books are useless, but i am not dishing out $260 for two sets of GM workshop books...

I found damage on my harness, and will rectify it. I am also going to trace the 2500/2501 and see how they communicate with the BCM and engine harness. Simplest way is to splice and dice my LS6 harness to copy the new, or yank EVERYTHING out of the dash and install this harness.
