Well...I have always heard what a waste it is to use Premium if a car runs fine on a lower grade fuel. (meaning it doesn't knock..etc.)

Of course I would want to be nice to it.

EDIT...ahh...I just found this article. Nice read.

ARTICLE regarding different grades of gas used.

A lower grade of gasoline will result in the engine knocking from pre-ignition. Knock sensors will detect this and the computer will dial back the timing to compensate. The downside is less timing means less power.

Never use anything lower than 93 octane. It can effect performance and mileage for sure.

If your car is still stock than do what's in the owners manual. Engineers and calibrators get paid to figure out fuel, octane, knock, and spark tables.

Cheers

Default The Higher The Octane The Faster

The Higher The Octane Gas You Use The Better Your Car Will Perform As Well As Making The Car A Bit Faster

Congrats Troy! Welcome to sleepless nights of walking down to the garage to simply stare at her and finding excuses to run to the corner store.

If your car is not tuned for 93 it can definetly cause problems like running hot and the likes.
