Default Jacks for lowered V1s

What low profile jack are you using to work on your lowered v1? Trying to pick one up prior to installation of my KW v3s so I dont have any issues.

Thanks

I rock the 2 ton low pro from Harbor Freight. Its a beast at 90 lbs or so but it lifts past 23". Some people don't like the cheaper brands but it has treated me well.

I don't know about you, but my car isn't always operational when I need to lift it from another point. I would hate having to rely on that.

X2 the low pro from harbor freight is waaay better than my craftsmen jack non low pro....much easier to open/close and it regulates much better so your car doesn't drop an inch immediately.

Also, my first low pro HF jack right out the box was leaking hydraulic fluid, I had to then take it back. got the exact same one and it has been a beast since with zero issues.
Best part was it didn't break the bank at all I got it for like 70$ on sale..

That's surprising coming from you since you kinda gave off a the tool snob vibe, hah. My garage is All Harbor Freight Everything and I don't give two craps. I've only ever broken ONE tool from them and it was because I used it beyond its capacity. I've been able to do all my projects otherwise...and it leaves me with more money for said mods

Except my torque wrench. I use a Kobalt that goes to 250 ft-lbs and it's the ****.

I use the standard, cheap-*** 2-1/2 ton jack that you can find at any auto parts chain in assorted colors under various brand names for $20-25. I'm sure they're all made in the same factory in China or Taiwan and just painted different colors. Like this one - mine is red, too, but I think it's a different brand name.

Works just fine on my car, lowered on KWs, even when I have my track rubber on the car (which lowers the car another ~1/2"), and even with a hockey puck on the jack to protect the frame rail. Has enough jack height that if I jack from the front (near the stock jack point) I can get both tires on one side off the ground (not by much, but enough to swap wheels/tires).

If I want to get the car up higher I have a bigger one, probably about like this one. I jack one corner with the little jack, then put that big jack under the diff or front cross-member. I very rarely have to do that, though.

I also use the low profile jack from Harbor Freight. Heck it's low enough it even goes under some of our ratrod.

Personally I really like the HF jacks, I have four of them, one we keep in the car trailer.

Something else to think about is the warranty on the jacks from Harbor Freight. only like $20 for 2 years, I have had a couple that I thought were going bad at close to 2 years, so I exchanged it and bought another warranty! I typically don't buy warranties but I made an exception for the jack.

I bought an Arcan from Costco a few years back for $80 after my lightweght craftsman died, again. Its a tank, heavy to drag around, but I can reach the cross members on both of my cars without driving up on blocks so its a winner.

I've had that on my Amazon wishlist in the event my Craftsman low profile 2 ton speed jack decides to bite the dust. I like the OTC for the dual pump pistons. So this would be my choice. It's about $200 w/o the jack stands...not too bad.
