Default 2014 CTSV stumbles, automatic tranmission

while cruising 65mph+ than down shift, the car stumbles / shakes. Yesterday I was doing 70 than floored it to 85 and took my foot off the gas and hear a thump sound. (kind of like you would hear if you were in an older car and it was put into drive while hold the brake, and you hear the slack in the rear gears)

Anyone have problems down shifting an auto?

I would say you should head to the dealer as it should be under warranty

Car has 3,600 miles on it, like new, 10 months old . I always had vettes , My Z06 was 7 years old, heavily modded and problem free.
Called the dealer today, their service department said i shouldn't be downshifting the car in manual mode. "WHAT U GUYS BUILT IT FOR THAT TO RUN ON THE TRACK". He said OK bring it in, we'll check it out.
They will probably blame the Airaid intake.

I downshift my gfs ATS 2.0L all the time. Trust me if its anything like her car it wont let you downshift if the rpms don't match.

Took it to the dealer, they said it had a traction control error code, they reset it.
when I first walked in the door and told them the problem, the service rep' said that I shouldn't go from automatic to manual while move, I should stop first. We got into it heavily, Me telling him the car is built for it, and him repeatedly saying I wrong. His boss came out of his office a told him, he was wrong. They brought the car back around, test drove it with the supervisor, it seems OK.
