Default Power steering failure 2014

2014 ctsv
Power steering reservoir is completely empty. It's a 2014 with 6k miles, is this a common problem with these cars? I saw a lot of gen 1 guys talking about it and a few newer cars. Just wondering if it's a common issue.

It has happened to a few V1s but surely you are under warranty and should head straight to the dealer.

It's going tomorrow, it already was for the trunk lock not working, was just curious if it's a common issue with them.

I'd say even if it was slightly common, 6k miles is 100% a manufacturing defect. The V1s that I know of were raced on a track, and overheated the rack and pump.

I agree.. It's going at 1:30 for that and the trunk latch not working correctly.

It is a brand new car! It sucks! They are putting a new pump in it and fixing the trunk lock right now... It's sitting at the dealer and I have a rental.

Where did the fluid go? Was the leak apparent?

It wasn't apparent. The dealer is saying it's not leaking and the factory didn't fill it completely at new. Strange. They said fill it and see if it leaks.. Kinda sucks.
