I need new pads and rotors 07' V. Anyone know a good place to order from online? Brands? This is the first time I have had to order for my V. Any suggestions appreciated.

Right now I am honestly just going to be driving around town with some sporty driving every once in a while. I am trying to find a slotted front and rear package from stoptech or something like that. Simple but still a little performance for sporty drives, nothing too crazy.
JC Whitney just has a difficult site, I went to Tire Rack and found better prices, even a better selection of StopTech stuff. I am looking at about $700 out the door for the slotted rotors all around with the stoptech sport pads. Does that sound reasonable? Do LS1 tech members get any discounts anywhere?

I don't see any point in going with slotted rotors, unless you just want to spend more money. Tire Rack doesn't have the best pricing on brakes from what I've seen. Check the same stuff on Rock Auto (you can find 5% discount codes online) and Amazon.
Go with Centric High Carbon rotors, or even Centric C-tek Standards. Tons of pad options, no need to spend big money. Decide if you want ceramic or semi-metallic and choose one of the million options on Rock Auto.

I just bought new calipers from Amazon, Hawk HPS5.0 from Amazon, and Centric high carbon blank rotors from Tire Rack last week. Don't waste your time with anything other than a blank rotor unless you're more concerned with aesthetics than actual braking performance.

Yep what the guys above said.
If you want OE performance stick with the ACdelco replacement OEM parts. They can be bought from rockauto or also cross referenced to amazon for cheaper sometimes.
No need for slotted rotors especially since it'll just wear out your pads 25% more than blank.
Centric high carbon rotors + ACdelco Durastop or OE pads and you'll be good to go for pretty cheap.

I have to agree slotted rotors eat your pads up fast, but they are good if you feel like hittin the track once and a while.
Amazon will save you on the rotor cost for sure and some of the items may have free shippin...
Hps pads are great, i used them in my tahoe for a while till i switched to Y compound pads. I am runnin 15" slotted front and rear brembos with 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. Average speed is 85mph, and no catastrophic failure yet

Skip the drilled rotors entirely, prone to cracking. Slotted might be of small benefit for autocross. Stick to plain rotors, the centric brand is a great upgrade over oem for similar or less money. Hawk pads are the ****, I like hps and hps5.0 for cars and Lts and SD for trucks, had grear results with all over a variety of platforms. You're getting good advice in this thread, take it.

I think centric is stoptech but like pampers and huggies, same product but one is a little more pricey

Yes, Centric bought Stoptech a while back. Stoptech continued with their big brake kits and racing stuff, and does "premium" rotors, while Centric does all the "normal" stuff.
As for pads, I'm a fan of Hawk for track duty, but for spirited street use and an occasional auto-x I've had very good results spending 1/3 as much on ACDelco semi-metallics. I found them to offer much better performance than the Hawk HPS pads I had been running (which is why my nearly-new HPS pads are for sale).
