Default Need opinions/options splitter rods

Bought a front splitter. Trying to figure out a good placement for the rods. I don't particularly want to drill into my bumper. Especially since there's no holes other than the factory holes. Are there any folks on here with front splitters and rods? Or do I even really need the rods? Or at least give me any ideas as to where I can mount them.

If you are going fast enough to make it useful, you need the rods. They should go to the bumper support not the plastic bumper cover.

The underside of the lower grille opening. Directly above it is the aluminum crash bar. That would be a good mounting point and you should be able to drill through the bumper cover and into the bar.

i drilled right through the bumper in front of the lower grill like these guys are saying. then i ran a tap up in the holes i drilled and screwed the rods in right there. it's really the best way to attack this unless you want to some up with some nifty brackets that mount somewhere else, but making it rigid is the hard part.

Thanks everyone for input. I was trying to avoid drilling into the bumper cover. As I didn't have any holes in her. But I'll probably just do what everyone is suggesting.

Thanks you. Honestly couldn't tell you. Previous owner had them done. I asked him about it when I purchased. His response was... Thanks but the previous owner did it. Lol. I'm the third owner. So whoever did the fogs was the original owner of car. Two prior to me did the fogs.

Looks like they are the stockers with the original lens removed and Lexan covers installed. That was the new hotness probably 4 or 5 years ago. I had mine done, decided I didn't like them, as the lack of fluting on the lenses meant the fog lights became somewhat useless pencil beams.

That was kinda what I was prying at... Wasn't sure if a new option became available. Thanks!
