Default ISO Tremec T56

I have been having issues finding a new trans for my V and I'm relatively new to the GM world. I have been told that a regular T56 will not swap into my V, some how my planetary is destroyed. So I need a tip on a rebuild group or someone that sells them.

Keep an eye on the various forums (here, cadillacforums, ctsowners, etc) and on Ebay, V T56s do turn up. I have one in my basement that I've started to pull apart with the intention of rebuilding it and (hopefully) installing it at some point over the winter.

Tick performance also does rebuilds. You can ship your trans to them if you can afford the downtime. Then you don't have to worry about core charges, etc.

one will be on he sale forum in less than a month, ill be pulling out a working 80k mile unit and posting it for sale. Doubt you will want to wait that long, but its proof positive that they do come up every now and then.

TDP (Texas Drivetrain), Tick, and RPM are your best bets but there are other good ones.
