Default Maximizer Headers

Has anyone tried Maximizer Headers? I've searched and found little to no info on them.

I have to pull my drive shaft to replace the the diff seal. While I'm in there I might as well replace the headers in case the exhaust manifold bolts were to break

I can't afford / my wife will murder me if I buy a set of kooks or SW Headers.

Thank you

I think the Becker and Maximizer are copies or just rebranded OBX. Should be plenty of data on them. Here's what I will go with when the time comes: https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...er-option.html

Obx with a different label, wrapped mine and have been running them for over a year. No issues, good buy.

I am in the same boat. I have the trans out and am on the fence with adding headers to the project list. I saw one post about poor welds on the inner collector area.

Quick 66,

From all of the posts I've read, it looks like SS headers don't need coating. Wrapping them in cold climates or areas with salt on roads hurts them.

My plan is to wrap any wires near the headers with the appropriate sized heat wrap like this:

What headers are you looking to pull the trigger on?
I keep holding my breath SW makes a SP version for our cars.

I have them on my car even bought them second hand from a local guy and they are awesome! Mine are not wrapped. You will need to dent the primary for the steering shaft, but not a big deal at all.

Bought a set a few weeks and they seem like they are pretty well made. I don’t expect Kooks quality for half the price but will tell you after they are on.

I'm overly paranoid, so I used a coating of cerakote c7600 and wrap to keep temps down.

I used dei heat shield, and relocated the alternator wire to move it away from the exhaust .

Had these Maximizer's cera koated and added the ding for the steering. Overall great fit and sound nasty. Put down 490whp after the rest of the mods.

Default Still running

Installed these about 3 years ago, still running them. no issues at all. VRX4 Cam and these headers pulled 396 whp. They sound great and quality is fantastic. Would not hesitate to use again.. Of note, had to do the ol' hammer-a-dent-on-the-runner trick to clear the steering link.
