Why are '05's being marked down?
A local dealer has two '05's, a black and silver one. They have been marked down to 49k and 48K, a couple thousand less than sticker. Anyone know why? The black one gave me a woodie, though I couldn't afford it and keep my car unless I lived off ramen noodles

Ummm, Ramen noodles are how I afford my Vette. "Shut up kids and fix another bowl of Ramen noodles." Works for me. I love the CTSV. I am so considering the trade-in of all my cars for one.

They aren't flying off the lots, kind of like the GTO. I'm hard pressed to think of a US performance car that hasn't been marked down new whether it's been the ZO6, blown SVT Mustang, etc.
There's a leftover 04 here marked down to $45k.

I just traded my '04 for an '05. Paid $45,500 drove it for 20,000+ miles and got $36,000. KBB and Edmunds have private party sale @ $38,500. My guess is if/when the '06's come out with inevitably more HP the '04's can be had for high $20's with miles. That's the time to get in cheap imo.
