Default Mobile 1 or Royal Purple

Was thinking about doing a complete flush with royal purple. What you guys think?

Personal opinion is spend your money on something else. Unless you plan on driving this car for 250,000 miles I doubt you'll see any wear difference on the internals. I've been changing mine with Mobil 1 VERY frequently, honestly probably more than I need to. I know it feels good to give the V the very best with Amsoil or RP but I don't think it's cost effective vs. the Mobil 1.

i have a v with a magnacharger, nos, exhaust, computer and some porting. i got it done by one of canadas best shops. Redline Performance in Toronto. they say stay away from royal purple. stick with moble one

I agree. Think of it this way. When is the last time you've heard of an oil related engine failure that was attributable to Mobil, Amsoil or any other premium synthetic. I just don't think it happens.

I have used Mobil 1 in all of my cars and NEVER had an issue.

I say make a choice based on the availablity of the product. you can find Mobil 1 pretty much anywhere. Ams or royal purple are harder to find. Genneraly from a small local distributer. You could pm patman about german castrol but i am having a hard time finding that in a 5 county area.

I Also Have A Buddy Who Used It In His Tranny And He Developed A Grind In 4th Gear. Thats Right 4th. Stay Away From.
