What's a snail supercharger?
Fuel mileage always depends on your driving habits.

Centrifugals and roots blowers have completely different characteristics.
Your questions are extremely vague. You'll need to be a lot more specific if you're
looking for some good tech advise.

ok. i know that you use hp to run both but and you can run about the same boost on both. which takes less hp to run and makes more power if there is one that matches that i think the centrifigal one is better isnt it?

Magnacharger claims 1/3HP at 60 MPH ... that's not much.

CSC is more efficient in that the outlet temps are far lower than a roots type, a roots type has virtually no affect on the car's performance off boost, no gas mileage penalty. you can get higher peek boost out of a CSC, but much more TQ lower in the powerband with a Roots. My experience is based on my modded Regal GS, I have no experience with LSx blown motors.

Just joined the forum with my new-to-me 2004 CTS-V.

We have had great results with using the ATI ProChargers. The customer of this 740 rwhp C5 that we built for him recently took the car on a vacation and got 28 mpg. Bob

From what I've seen/driven

The addition of FI on any vehicle will in most cases increase the overall efficiency of fuel consumption - now what will deter fuel consumption from an increased level of efficiency is your overall right foot pressure.

Then again are you asking "efficiency" as in which system will net you more MPG or are you looking at which will demand less from your engine and give you more power?

Where do you want your power is one of the most overlooked questions. In my example I've always been a fan of roots type blowers. They are great under 5000 rpm power which is what I normally use "around town". If I wanted a track car (1/4 mile) then I would look into the CSC. The heat soak on the PD Blowers normally doesn't happen unless you are going to hotlap the vehicle.

This is how I look at it.

Road Racing Applications - Big Cubes NA power
Everyday red light to light - PD/Eaton/Maggie/KB blowers
1/4 top end - SCS - Vortech, ATI, Paxton NOVI

Remember these are just generalizations. I do not want to argue semantics over the fact that you can spin up a SCS to make more power down low. I am looking at these products in a stock form.

*NOTE I excluded twin turbo as an option from this list.
