Best price for H&R springs?
#2
If I were you I would bypass the springs and get the Ground Control adjustable coil-over kit for $500. You can get various front and rear spring rates to suit your driving style, and best of all, it is height adjustable.
I just ordered mine last week. Should be here tomorrow. I am installing on Saturday, if I have enough self control and dont get too drunk

I thought about the GC Kit, but I just can't justify sepnding $500 for the 1" drop I'm looking for.
H&R's worked well on my Cobra and I figured they would be comparable on the V as long as I had a good alignment done.
I know the Caddy isn't a Cobra...

I've seen Eibach's in person and they are really low. The look is amazing, just a little too low for me.
H&R's have a drop rating not as low, but I have yet to see pics of a V with this setup.

I have the eibach springs and really like them. I don't think it dropped my car that low (1.7/1.2). My car is a daily driver and it didn't affect my ride quality very much either. There is no rub with the 20' wheels I have but I believe they are the same diameter as the stock 18's. 235/45/20 I have not seen the h&r springs on a v.

Here are some pics. The weather has sucked lately so I haven't had time to detail the car but you'll get the idea. The first two pics are before the eibach springs. Sorry about the picture quality, they are all from my phone. lol

How did you guys get around lowering the rear? Did you use the WW spacer mod?
I really like it. It's been a while since I've seen an Eibach lowered V in person. You guys may have sold me on them.

I swapped out my shocks to non auto-leveling ones. The ww mod would probably be good but I didn't have the upgraded performance shock package on my car to begin with so no big deal.

I wouldnt put cts shocks in....way to soft...I did the WW mod, and it was easy, and worked great and I maintained my handling 100%...lowered center of gravity a small amount too I believe. It feels like it hugs the corners nicer too....

I think I'm sold.
The only thing that's nagging at me(besides the wife ) is the fact that my driveway has a slight incline that my front spoiler rubs on if I don't take the driveway on at a sharp enough angle. Damn home builders....

IMHO I can't tell the least bit difference from swapping the shocks. Still handles the same if not better with the springs. Ride quality still excellent. If you don't have the perfromance shock package then I would do whatever is cheaper. Spend the rest of the money on something else.

and the ww mod is way cheaper....and easier....and the reg cts shocks def would effect the handling man. Im sorry but im raising the BS flag on that one. There spring rates are mush, and if you took that car to a road course, youd see that you ruined your handling.

but seems like you dont care about the performance of your car, considering you put those heavy wheels on there with 235 series tires....when this car needed to come with 295's in the rear from the factory to have the proper traction per the hp/tq it lays down.....

Ok....great. Well I'm not interested in taking it to a road course. I do however drive it SPIRITED around corners ect. ect. and like I said, NO REAL NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE IMO. The performance of my car is just fine, it's my daily driver. I have no problem with traction, however I don't track my car so it rarely gets launched. Just b/c I put the wheels I like on my car doesn't mean I don't care about performance. I like my cars well rounded, looks/performance. Just my preference. If the ww mod is way easier and cheaper than great, he should do it. As my post above says do which ever is better priced. Oh, sorry but I typed the wrong numbers on my earlier post. lol 245/35/20 tire size.
