Default "Competition Mode"

Ever seen it come up on your Nav screen? Does it? Manual says it does and my dealer says it doesn't.

Someone have a screen shot if it does?

It does come on. you just have to press the traction control button twice fast. IF IT DOESNT show on the screen, then they setup your radio wrong if you got a replacement and they have it set as regular cts. With a tech2 you can easily switch it back to a ctsv.

Is the T/C affected or is it just the display not working?

I believe its effected. I have had it not load up on the screen before and felt the nannies kick in. I did notice, when the dealership repaired one of the curbed wheels, they rotated the tires and didn't reset the tire pressure monitor. So what the monitor thought was my rear tires was actually my front. That seemed to have messed with the TC, but it might just be me putting 2 and 2 together when its not true.

The dealer I bought it from claimed to have repaired a couple curb rashes. As in they most likely took the tires off and so forth. I did confirm today that my Nav has been replaced....reset to the V....we're not sure of.

Traction control or stability control IS NOT EFFECTED by the radio not being set up right.

The only thing it changes is the radios ability to display bus messages pertaining to the V hardware extras of the ls1 type computer it uses instead of the northstar one.

I think it's Competitive Mode actually.

Anyone have a screen shot from their Nav? Or can get me one?

Sorry, work ran really late tonight. Sorry about the blurry last pic, but it's just the dash with the T/C light on.

Thank you kind sir. I have never seen that on my screen since the day I took ownership. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the V and was even telling me something didn't seem right when we couldn't cycle through to Comp Mode. It shall be fixed!

Good luck. I have been through 2 dealerships to get it fixed after the nav was replaced. I think I am just going to have to do it myself.

They couldn't get it done for you?

Should be a simple Tech II update.

Two things need to happen so your comp mode / stability control work properly.

1: All of you tire pressure sensors have to be in working order. Whether the read front to back or vice versa is ok, but all 4 need to be reading.

2: Your radio needs to be recognized by the car's computer as a cts-v as previously stated.

tap the traction control button on the steering wheel twice (rather quickly).
