13.3 in the magazines. With a few mods they'll run a little quicker. With a maggie they'll run mid to upper 12's. With a good rear and maggie they can run lower. I think the fastest V is an 11.8.

on a dyno i ran

60' 1.65 35.52 mph
330' 5.25 66.05 mph
660'(1/8th) 8.19 84.34 mph
1000' 10.7 97.08 mph
1/4 mile 12.88 105.95 mph

but ofcourse thats not close to real time because I would have broke my differential with that kind of 60 footer

How did he run a time like that and the new cts-v has a better dif and has an extra 70 hp and 90 tq and it only runs 12s? Just an observation; what is wait4me and the other people that are pushing there v's past the 800hp mark running?

My HP is at the rear wheels, it would be around 600 at the motor.
I don't have a stock rear diff. The 800 hp cars have yet to go to the strip, and none have a roll bar (me included), so anything faster than 11.50 will get them tossed

The new V will probably make about the same power to the wheels as Shtstkr, but the new V will be a couple hundred pounds heavier (?) and they won't be cutting 1.7 60's without drag radials. Potentially the new V could run 11s with just tires if the rear can hold it. Which is what's mostly holding the older ones back.
Then there's the fact that ~75% of the people who bought Gen 1 Vs, actually use them for what they are made for. And that ain't drag racing.

What's your definition of "bolt-in"?

GM engineers said that there would be several modifications needed but it may be possible. Since there aren't any new Vs around yet, no one really knows yet.

If that was the case, you'd hear a stampede to git 'r done. Unfortunately, it takes a bunch of mods (fuel tank, wheel well, spring perches, etc) ... but, of course, after you do all the mods, yup! it bolts right in!
