Default heat soak?

ive heard the ls2 is bad with heatsoak especially compared to the ls6 and ls3.

what can be done to combat this in a V?

Take off the engine cover and install headers and wrap the headers.

Nonsense, LS1,2,6,3,7, etc are basically the same engines.

my cover is on...never once got over 210 in stop and go nyc summer heat
3 hr backed up traffic jam...car ran perfect. (ac blowing hard on neck, breast,chest, and head)

but not the same PCM. i know the ls2's yank timing very early in the IAT tables compared to ls6,1 havent really tweaked over a ls3,7 tune

yes it can be tamed down, but if you go to far it will knock till the other systems kick in

on a ls2 it helps alot more than it would a ls6

ahh well the engine pulling to much timing. it does need to pull some timing to keep knock down but the ls2 IAT table is very aggressive

in this case its IATs 30*plus over ambient air temp. i dont think we are talking cylinder,or intake manifold heat soak just yet
