Default Fitting red FRCs on ls6

What do I need to trim/cut on the red corvette FRCs in order for them to fit on my 05 ls6?

I suspect at the least, you will have to cut the driver's side cover around the power steering pump reservoir. You may also have to cut the inner rear corners of both to clear that fuel line or a/c line or whatever that is back there.

Basically just try to fit them up, and see where it hits. Trim that, then repeat.

I believe the LS6 covers need a lot less trimming though, because they don't wrap down on the edges like the LS2 covers do.

I'm sure there's a tutorial around here somewhere, but I basically did what he said. You'll end up trimming a little bit off the front corner of the driver side one by the PS reservoir, and quite a bit off the rear/top of each FRC around the fuel rails.

Here's just some general circles of where I had to trim:

I kept an eye on CorvetteForum, which I believe is a sister-site to LS1tech. I picked up a nice condition set of LS2 covers for $50. Craigslist is also worth watching.

This is definitely on my to-do list. I've been trying to score a set of ls6 covers in good shape, but am always a little too late. They can be had new from gmpartsdirect for about $140 a pair.

The black ones are 80 but the red ones are more. I just ordered new red ones from ebay $113.00 from a GM dealer in Chicago (Jennings Glenview).
