Is anybody else running this kit?
Is 6k what I want? I only want a hint of blue.
Will the ballasts fit into the stock brackets, or will I need to fab something up?

I bought this same kit from DDM tuning when one of my headlights went out and it was problem after problem... My first go around, they shipped the kit from China which made shipping time over two weeks. When I got the whole front end off, hooked up one of the ballast and bulbs and realized it wouldn't come on, I thought I had done something wrong on my end. Anyways, I call DDM tuning up and they tell me to test my ballast and bulb by just touching it directly to the +12v and - battery terminals to see if the other will ignite and stay lit or if there was a problem with it... Come to find out, both ballast are bad, so I send them back to DDM tuning after they tell me they won't ship me a new one until I get those back to them and they personally test them, which is another 5 days there and 5 days back for the new ones. Another 2 weeks go by of riding around with one headlight and the two new ballast show up. After hooking up the new ballast, one works and one doesn't. I'm pretty angry at this point. I call and raise hell with DDM tuning, and they tell me I can file another claim since they have a lifetime warranty.
Overall I was pretty pissed with the whole ordeal and their customer service.... It took around a month and a week to get the whole thing sorted out and in the end I still have a bad ballast sitting in my garage.

I've never had any problems like that with DDM tuning. They have always been helpful and reasonable turn around. I guess as they have gotten bigger maybe they lost the customer service aspect?

I've always used DDM tuning for other HID setups, but it seems when it came to the D1S ballast, I either just got a crap batch and received 3 non working ballast which to me seems less likely to be just a coincidence.
I'm not ******* the company, because every other set of HID's I've gotten from them were fine, it's just when it came to the D1S' that there were issues. I'll still use DDM tuning, but I'm not much of a fan of them.

Are u using them for your fogs?
I'm running DDMTuning 6k bulbs on stock 35w ballasts for my lows, DDM slim 55w 6k H10 on my fogs and V-LED's 6k LED's in the corners. Everything matches perfect and has that blue tint to it. 6k IMO is already blue enough. 8k would be too much blue. Also put the 6k LED's in my LP lights.
I'll post a pic... Hold on.
But I stayed with stock ballasts for lows because they are part of the housing anyway. If your stock ballasts are both good, I'd keep ur stock ballasts and just order the 6k D1S bulbs like I did.

Lolly, that's the kit I ordered. I had a bad ballast on my passenger side so I went ahead and got the bulb & ballast kit. I went with 6k's because 8k's are just to blue for my style.
Here's a picture with the DDM tuning 6k 35w D1S lows with DDM tuning 55w 6k fogs.
and in this picture the fogs look more white then the headlights, but it's just due to the garage lighting.

Looks nice tmontt! I'm about to load a couple pics now. Just sending them to my email from my phone so I can post them.
Lolly... If your stock ballasts are good, stay with stock ballasts. The quality of the stock ballasts are better than any aftermarket ballast anyway and they are still 35w. Not to mention the aftermarket D1S kit he's referring to is not 100% plug and play. I was going to order DDMTuning bulbs and ballasts for both lows and fogs and after doing a bunch of searching around to find others that have done it, the consensus was to leave the stock ballasts alone and just run the 6k D1S bulbs on em.
You don't want a D1S kit for the fogs. U want slim 55w H10 for the fogs!!!

^^^ He's correct on the kit not being plug and play, I didn't even think of mentioning that. I had to splice two wires, one for the power and one for the ground off of the headlight harness.
As far as the fogs go, like NeverSatisfied said, you'll want the H10, and it's up to you if you go 35 of 55w.
