* Ship em here (usually places offer free shipping in USA) http://www.usaddressinc.com/
* Research tire install place...
* Pick up tires, drive over to install place, have them install new tires.
* Drive back to the border and say you went shopping, didnt see anything you wanted...what new tires? (no one looks at tires...just make sure your stickers/labels are cleaned off)
* Drive home no duty paid, and about 500$ richer

* Buy your tires in the U.S (ebay, discount tire, tire-rack wherever)

Dont you have a 10 day pass to get the safety? How bad are the tires? can you drive 150km on them lol? If you can't get a 10 day pass, maybe see if you can borrow a set of tires from someone to get you to pass the safety, then throw yours back on and go down to the USA. I dunno how far you are from Toronto but I'd let you borrow my winter tires just to pass the safety if you want.
Otherwise you can google GTA tires, thats where Im likely headed after class today to nab a pair of front tires for my car. Just liekly gunna get some cheapy summito's for 112$...or maybe even cheaper nankangs for 77$ for the front. My rears I got Nittos from discount tire 275/40R18 for around 150$ from discount tire last year.

Tires
Thanks Everyone
I did some searching too and found some reasonable prices. $200 a wheel is a good price. I was not going to pay big money for Goodyears etc. Just was not sure some of the cheaper brands made that tire size. But now I se Cooper for instance sells a tire for a WS6.

I bought 275/40ZR17 Sumitomos from Tire Rack a few years ago. They were $88 a piece, and I have no complaints about them. I had to pay freight, but it wasn't too bad, and they were shipped right to my door. I saved hundreds.
But the $129 for BFG's that LETZRIDE is talking about sounds pretty good.
