They can do some good work, some bad. I see it as a pyramid scheme at this point.

My car was built by AutoWorx (see signature)... as far as I know, they are the best shop in Canada!

Here's a link to my current project...

2 cars come in-they use the money from the first car to pay for the car before it, the 2nd car pays for the first car-2nd car is **** outta luck. Go with a board sponser Canadian Performance-it's as simple as that.

BINGO!
So they always need fresh meat to come in so the cars that are already on the lifts as well as other projects in the works can be financed to get done. If you can't pay employees and don't have parts in stock .... take a second to think. That is how I see it.

Never been to Autoworx and never gonna. Its nothing personal against any of the guys there I have never met them but how any shop can expect to gain any kind of customer confidence with that rancid reputation is beyond me???

The scariest thing is I was warned not to go anywhere near that place by local shops where I live and NONE of them are members of this board. In fact the guys who told me that are so old I doubt they even have internet access

The point is though the rep of those guys has travelled far....

Great builders? Maybe but who gives a damn? Cars are a sketchy business at the best of times. Known scammers are to be steered clear of as far as I'm concerned but hey its your money.

As for Canadian Performance? Just met them so I have little input but so far I'm diggin their style. Dave seems very straight up and has some pretty wicked projects going at his shop it would be wise to look into what they have to offer

Regardless MACH C5 Good luck with your build your gonna love it when its done

That's for sure. Another thing with Dave is, he doesn't get upset if you talk to other engine builders.

Autoworx treated me right as did Dave at Canadian Performance. Although, I'm not too sure about Dave's cats.

It still baffles me as to why people even ask this question over again-doesn't the fact that "they" have been banned for life from here answer the question loud and clear?

Autoworx has been good to me, I have done a HC that made 429rwhp in 2004 and a LS2 stroker that has been good to me as well. Things have not always been 100% perfect but the1 or 2 issues were made right in a fair and reasonable way. I have heard some bad experiences from people I know and some I do not. I have only told you about my personal experience since anything else is heresay.

I will go back to AWX myself since it is my money and my experiences have been good.

Some shops will never have a nickel of my money due to their unproffesional on-line conduct. I'm sure they could care less too, so we both win. There are several shops, not only 2 in the GTA. Half or more of the posts in here are from people who have an interest in one shop or the other, so they will always steer you to their buddy.

Go to any shop you are considering and look for yourself, ultimately it is your money to do with as you see best.

This is a hobby that is supposed to be enjoyable, but several will wreck that for you because you go to one shop or another. I wish you a pleasant experience with whom ever you go too.
