Since you are in Texas I would give Lone Star Motorsports a call.

Real good people and their carbs make alot of torque.
I have 2 of their carbs and am working on converting my
70 camaro to LS.

I only got to make a total of 9 passes and I ended up going a best of 11.37@119 with a 1.69 60' with 31 degrees of timing I was pretty happy with that. I was still trying to get the A/F right where I want it before I added more timing to it. I got the A/F where I wanted it and the trans started slipping on me so I never pushed it any harder . I ran the last race of the year in a 12.0 index class so I could baby it and just get some more seat time, but I ended up breaking out in the first round

So over the winter I'm going to be going through the trans and adding some nitrous to the mix and have some fun next year

at what rpm are u adding a full 31? Mine is currently on 32 deg starting at 3000rpm...be interesting to see what yours does on the brake... My car needs more stall has a 3600 tci and is blowing thru it on spray, I recently installed some as cast trick flow 220's and have yet to get a spray pass on them...going with a yank convertor this spring...Mine went a 7.31@96.5 n/a on drag radials 1.72 sixty no spinning at 3480 pounds...car should be running 7.0's im kinda bummed but I think its the convertor...Its such a turd out the gate, I have 4.10's and dont want to go lower I drive this thing everywhere...

No I think it was 860 or so, I haven't looked at my build sheet in awhile but I know it was much more than that.

I think I'm all in with 31 degrees by 3000rpm also. Was that 7.31 pass on motor?

Nice! How big of a shot are you running and what kind of times were you seeing on the bottle before the head swap? Just curious, trying to figure out where my car will be at this spring since we sound pretty close on motor.

Have you considered going to a higher stall? Say 5500+. Or does anybody else think there would be any gain in that? I'm just curious.
