Default lq9 combo QUESTIONS

im putting a lq9 in my 95 s10. im gonna use the msd box with coils and 0821 casting heads. curious if anybody has any input on what intake i should use, the victor jr or the gmpp intake #25534401, and also what cam? i dont want to have to fly cut the pistons but i want a decent cam shaft to put in it. any input on what i should or shouldnt use is greatly appreciatd. just for your info im gonna use a 700r4 with around a 2500 stall and a decent shift kit and a 3:73 posi rear end.

With that small stall, you will need a small cam, otherwise, you will be killing the launch. So something in the mid to high 220s @.050 inless you want a larger converter, then if you stick with the 2500, a performer RPM would be the ticket as well.

And if I may add. Dont be afraid of a larger converter on the street. As long as you have a suitable transmission cooler, running a 4000 rpm converter isnt a big deal once you get used to it. My wife use to daily drive a 1994 Z28 with a TH350 and a 3800 art car 10 inch non lock up converter. She loved flashing the converter from a roll, lol. Hope this helps, Eric L

Do you have a specific performance goal or a driving characteristic that you want?

I have not even fired my motor yet. I am just going by mag tests on similar builds.
