based on the data i've collected, the 2" hvh was worth 1.5mph on my combo with a vic jr.

i'd like to see back to back:

vic jr
vic jr & 2" hvh
super vic
super vic & 2" hvh

all in one day, or dyno session on something with 11:1+ compression and 364+ cubes with a big cam, etc

Yea, i figured, i could do the comparison myself, but i dont have a REAL HVH spacer and i will be running at the track Friday to see if the Vic Jr made gains and running a couple people for some cash.

ya qwiknotch I also saw that as well, interesting results but with no mph numbers or knowing the DA or tuneups, who knows how accurate that could be.

Well, it would seem i wont gain anything then of i was running the Vic Jr with the spacer VS the Super with no spacer, but the fact i had to jet the carb down has me wondering, so we will see Friday.

The OP from YB is a good friend of mine...

Best run today with Vic. Jr. 1.47 60ft 4.18 330ft 6.488 ET DA 1670ft

Best run with Super Vic. 1.413 60ft 4.068 330ft 6.341 ET DA 1620ft
No re-jetting same
everything except
intake.

Best run ever with Vic. Jr. 1.421 60ft 4.086 330 ft. 6.371 ET DA 1060ft.

Went to a different track the following weekend and the Super Victor Stayed right where it was above and the Victor jr was .01 off it's tail all day long... with the near the same DA as above..

Here's a little vid of the .36 pass http://www.youtube.com/user/Sbryson02

Except for that first day...He has seen very little difference between the two with his set-up...

So, he might need to tune the carb for the bigger intake? I had to jet my carb down by 2 sizes front and rear with the super victor this far.

Well, the Vic Jr with a custom 4 hole spacer was 7.1 at 96, 97 was the best one pass, but the super vic, no 4 hole spacer was 7.2 at 95, go figure, the 4 hole works wonders on the Jr, LOL. I wish i could have tried it on the Super.

ok so the jr with a spacer works better than the super vic? that works well for me! i already have a 1.5 wilsons 4 hole tapered spacer, and the jr is cheaper than the super.

sweet. thanks for the info!

So it seems, for my particular setup anyway. I gained 2 mph with the spacer on the jr, and 1 mph with the super Vic over a jr with no spacer

Thumbs up

Great pics of each manifold, that Super Victor is real impressive ,clearly superior features. Worth fitting it over Victor with spacer, IMHO.
