Have run 3 6012s with no problems besides the outside wire swap for the cam since I didn't use a gm cam sensor harness on my TA when I had the 2008 5.3.

So it wont physically fit in or will it fit and just be wrong.

So just switch the outside wires and it should work? I wired mine according to the wiring diagram on the instructions. I'll switch them today after work.

EDIT: MSD just sent me a plug that fits directly in the cam sensor...looks like i bought that $30 cam harness extension for nothing.

Yes, use the smaller plug and swap the two outer wires. Or use the extension harness as is.
