How much power do you make on ur setup?

I also have a -10 feed from pump to regulator and a -8 return

i run two -8 feeds off the regulator the carb. my setup is apart right now. i'm deployed and am doing some upgrades. you had mentioned -6, that's why i said that. anyways, what reg do you have? i'd suggest an aeromotive 13202. it has 1:1 boost reference and is pretty much the standard reg to run on blow thru. others do work, but this is a very common and proven one. also, check out this sticky for a lot of good info on blow thru setups. if your a1000 is in good shape, just try swappin the reg and lines to -8 and see if that helps support enough fuel. i don't mean to say it won't work, i just had bad luck with 2 of them before and chose not to use em anymore.

Ya that aeromotive fpr is what I have, I should have everything here today to get it all plumbed for the 2 feeds. And I understand about the pump, if it gives me any trouble ill def be looking other places. I have a buddy that's running one with his setup and so far so good. Maybe u ran into a batch of bad idk.

yeah, that's possible. one was already on the car when i got it, so who knows what they did. anyways, let us know how it turns out. i'm sure going to dual -8's will solve your problem with going lean and emptying the bowls

i just recently completed my build and seemm to need some help. i have a stock 5.3 with a custom turbo cam .6**lift and changed the valve springs. i have a 78mm mp turbo, csu blow thru,350 tranny, 3200 stall and 3.73 rears with 28x10.5 mt's @ 8lbs of boost- i took the car to local test n tune and the best i could get the car to run was mid 11's at 120mph. i need help setting up the msd 6010 and i'm not using the map sensor. i got the timing programmed at 30* from 1000rpm to about 3000rpm then it drops to 18* across the board. please help!!! i know car should go a lot faster than it currently does. another problem i am experiencing is when i get on the transbrake and 2step (31/3200 rpm) and release it, the car 60 fts kind of strong but shuts down for about 1 second then comes back to life and takes off like a bat of hell. during that period of shut down i get black smoke. somebody help!!!!! i know i got a nasty set up and want it to run good throughout. thanks !!!!!!

By all means, use the MAP! Also, use the pink wire to retard timing. You're not only giving up a lot, you're in danger of blowing up!

i'm going to take it to a tuner...i thought inputting the points on graph was how to "tune" the timing. so i am holding my car back? my dumb butt so when i hook map sensor up i basically gotta changed some stuff?

The easiest way would be to dial in a normal (but lower across the range) RPM curve while running, say, 12° of MAP advance from 0 PSIA (max vacuum) through short of where your boost comes in,say, 9 PSIA (~ 12" vacuum), then ramp it down to 0° as the boost comes up.

I hold the advance steady through my idle zone as it idles smoother, this gets you a clean idle, off-idle with up to 42° advance under low load (remember, whenever your manifold drops to 0# or you go into boost, the MAP advance drops from 12° to 0°), and a boosted advance of 18°.

Another way would be to set up a "step retard" and apply 12v to the pink wire to activate it.

Here are some charts to look at and get comments on...
