Default Spraying a stock LS1. Will it handle a small shot?

Just wondering if a stock LS1 carbed would handle a shot of juice? If so, how much I wa looking at the NX plate system that's adjustable from 100 to 250. Or should I stay away???

150 is safe all day with the proper recommended jetting, a wide band will help ensure the dead on tuning. Personally, i was spraying a 150 on my 6.0 and i had to use the 150 nitrous pill and the 100 shot pill on the fuel side to get the AFR to 12:1, i wanted to lean it more but that was the smallest fuel jet i had.

Seen a many stock LS1s spray 200 with no problem.

Gotcha, I had heard that the 98s had weak rod bolts. I don't know? But that's what my engine is.

rod bolts generally break from too many rpms, not power level.

It will hold more than a little done correctly. These little motors are very tough from the factory.

What would say id the max? My buddy wants to hit a 5.3 with a 250 and i am thinking that would be the limit without removing the pistons to open the ring gap.

We have done over 300hp. Stock everything. Rod bolts and rings included.

I do not recommend this, however, show me a picture where a guy twisted a wrist pin out of the piston, anything else means it was a tune issue. The issue with the non forged pistons is that you have a VERY small tuning window on shots of that size.

Was 300 with a plate kit or a direct port?

I have seen it down with either actually. Lots of plug reading, very little timing, and working up in jet size so the tune up was very close the first time on all jets above 150hp.
