Default What bypass regulator?

Going to be making a thread soon about the next swap, but it is a 94 GMC i will be installing a 5.3, performer intake and 6010, i am retaining the EFI pump for the TBI, it is around 16? PSI output and i am wondering what bypass regulator will work with that?

This is my first time to retain a stock pump...on anything.

I have the Mallory 4207 regulator. Has been working well for me.

I'm running it with their Comp 140 pump. I think it puts out 14 psi when the internal bypass is removed (which mine is) so should work well for you too.

I use a $20 holley fuel regulator when doing this. I just run one outlet to the carb and the other outlet I run as a return line I just make a restriction in the return fitting and drill a very small hole in it to return just enough fuel to keep the pump cool and bleed off pressure properly. I don't have the bit size in front of me.

The pump I am using has an internal bypass regulator that is factory set to 12 psi.

However if you size the fuel lines right the regulator will keep you from building much pressure out of the pump. Can't say I have ever bothered to measure the pressure up stream of the regulator.

I have read posts where people are using the Mallory and aeromotive regulators with EFI pumps. Pretty much any of them should work fine.

I am using the Edelbrock low pressure pump. I turned the internal regulator to full pressure which is about 11lbs. I set my Holley regulator to just over 6lbs.

Aeromotive 13204 here. Built specifically for regulating EFI pressures down for carb conversions. I've got an Aeromotive A1000 pump feeding mine and have no issues maintining a steady 7psi to the carb with no creep.

That is the issue for me, i am running the TBI EFI pump, so it is hard for me to determine what regulator since it is 16-18 PSI from the pump, the 4309 will probably be what u try unless i want to cheap out and try the 803bp and if it doesnt work i will throw it on the TA so it has a bypass system as well.
